Rural Women's Business Centre
We know that when women succeed, communities thrive. The Rural Women’s Business Centre is a place for women to find the support and inspiration they need to succeed in their business endeavours. Located in Central Bedeque, the Centre predominantly serves women in the central Queens to west Prince regions. Through the Centre, PEIBWA aims to foster a community of support and act as a catalyst for both professional and personal development in the very communities in which Island women live.
Programs & Services
The Centre’s programs and services are designed to respond to the business and professional needs of rural women in PEI, at every stage of their career and business. In addition to the services offered at the Centre, PEIBWA will bring training and networking opportunities to the rural communities themselves through outreach programming.
An advisory group of women from central Queens to west Prince counties are helping to guide the development of the Centre and the services offered. The current members of the Rural Women's Business Centre Advisory Group are: Leona Arsenault, Paulette Barke, Ronda Bellefontaine, Sarah Benetto O'Brien, Rose Bernard, Moyna Murphy-Matheson, Elizabeth Noonan, Ramona Roberts, Lori Robinson, Carol Rybinski, Suzanne Scott, Tara Simmons, Crystal Stevens, Margaret Stewart Sweet.
If you are interested in joining the advisory group, please contact Shelley Jessop, manager of the Rural Women's Business Centre, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
