We know when women succeed, communities thrive. The Rural Women’s Business Centre is a place for women to find the support and inspiration they need to succeed in their business endeavours. Located in Central Bedeque, the Rural Women's Business Centre is conveniently located with ample parking. Through the Centre, PEIBWA aims to foster a community of support and act as a catalyst in the very communities in which Island women live, for both their professional and personal development.
Programs & Services
The Centre’s programs and services are designed to respond to the business and professional needs of rural women at every stage of their career and business on PEI. In addition to these services, PEIBWA will bring training and networking opportunities to rural communities through outreach programming.
Services at the Rural Women’s Business Centre include:
- Business Incubator: PEIBWA's 12-week ACCELERATE HER PEI and 6-week ACTIVATE HER PEI programs are based at the Rural Women's Business Centre with a designated office area which is exclusively for current and past participants of these two programs. NOTE: Stay tuned for dates of the next cohort.

Public workspace: Spacious public workspace available by drop-in from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Whether you need access to reliable internet when working remotely, or just need a change of scene - this is the place to be! The Centre offers a bright and comfortable co-working space with desks, high-speed internet access, a printer, a lounge area, and a kitchen. All genders are welcome at the RWBC. PEIBWA members and non-members alike can access this space.

Training sessions and workshops: A variety of training sessions and workshops are available to improve business skills, promote professional development, and increase confidence.

Networking events: Networking events, mixers, and information sessions allow businesswomen to connect with each other, share knowledge, collaborate, build partnerships and learn.

Business advisory services: 1-1 meetings can be scheduled to help you navigate current resources to support the development and growth of rural women’s businesses. RWBC staff members are always onsite to provide resources and referrals.

Space for Rent: Our beautiful co-working space is also available for rent for workshops, meetings, and events. Fully equipped for hybrid meetings/presentations, high speed reliable internet access, flexible set-up to accommodate groups - this space is the perfect setting for in-person and online meetings.
