The PEI Business Women's Association is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who meet at least six times a year and provide strategic direction, fiscal oversight, and governance for the Association and its operational staff. There are a minimum of five (5) directors and a maximum of nine (9) directors who are elected at the Annual General Meeting (held in February) from the active members in good standing of the Association.  Directors serve a two (2) year term, with a maximum number of 3 consecutive terms.

Margaret Magner, Ph.D, M.A., M.P.W.: PEIBWA Executive Director

Melanie Taylor: PEIBWA Education & Engagement Officer

Melanie started at PEIBWA in August, 2018. She has a degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and expertise in communications, education, research, marketing, sales, development and entrepreneurship. She has been the co-owner of Harmony House Theatre in Hunter River for the past 11 years and is excited to be working with PEIBWA, putting her skills and experience to work for other Island business women. Family, friends, fitness and music keep her energy levels high and her work inspiring, creative and productive.

Anne Putnam: PEIBWA Office Support and Membership Coordinator

Anne has been with PEIBWA since 2016. As Office Administrator, she works on membership outreach and assists with the implementation of programs and workshops. In the summers, Anne is a coordinator with the Young Millionaires Program.  She has years of experience in stage management, production management, and with TESL.
