Telling Our Stories

At PEI Business Women’s Association, we work to empower and inspire women to succeed in their business endeavours, whether they are entrepreneurs or business professionals. We provide a range of programs and services including networking, resources, and training. But we all benefit from hearing the stories of others – and we are honoured to bring you some of those stories from women right here in our community.

These very special magazines, G!Plus, were made possible through funding from the Status of Women Canada as part of a ground-breaking multi-year pilot project for women in PEI.  Beginning in September 2014, we developed and implemented a pilot mentoring program designed specifically for PEI women entrepreneurs and business professionals. This project also included the launch of our 'Telling Our Stories' campaign - providing opportunities the community to be involved with and in this project. These stories were published in G!Plus magazine in Feb/Mar 2015; Sept/Oct 2015; and Feb/Mar 2016.

Following up on the success of the G!Plus magazines PEIBWA partnered with UPEI Executive Master of Business Administration program to deliver profiles on PEI women in business who have successfully pursued their eMBA.

In spring 2017 thanks to the generous support of the PEI Interministerial Women's Secretariat Grant, we were able to add a new set of stories featuring PEI women leaders.
