| Board of Directors | | A board of nine business women, from across Prince Edward Island, govern the Association. | | | April Ennis - President
April is an Islander who has developed deep roots on Prince Edward Island over the past 30+ years after being transplanted from Ontario at a very young age. She has a vast amount of tourism work experience behind her including Walt Disney World, the Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island, Golf PEI and Rodd Hotels and Resorts to name a few. Most recently April founded Tinker Media which is a boutique marketing company that strives to provide social media consulting and training based on authenticity.
April resides in rural Kings County with her husband Robert and young sons Brandon and Benjamin. When she is not working or volunteering, you might find her singing karaoke, curling in bonspiels or eating (and posting photos via social media) delicious Prince Edward Island culinary delights.
The future of business is bright on Prince Edward Island, and it is her belief that when a business community supports each other, great things can happen. It is her hope that membership will continue to grow and the needs of the association's members will be met in new and resourceful ways.
| | | Constance Robinson - Vice President
Constance is a Director of HR Associates Inc. (HRA), a human resources and labour relations consulting firm. She is also a partner in MacLeod Robinson MacLean, a boutique law firm focusing on employment and labour issues. Constance and her family moved to PEI in 1998, and she soon found a career home in HRA. In 2005 she took on an ownership interest in the company, and greatly appreciates the very different perspective one brings to business when a person is accountable for its strategic direction and performance.
A strong believer in the ability of a vibrant business community to create, Constance recognizes the PEIBWA as a vital vehicle for women in business in Prince Edward Island to generate success for each other through the synergies of the group. She is passionate about organizations maximizing the contributions of their people through sound, evidence-based practices. Constance frequently facilitates learning sessions on labour and employment related issues, and is collaborating with others in developing systems and methodologies that help organizations and business people make evidence-based decisions. This doesn’t mean she is all business all the time. Constance also enjoys opportunities for lighter fare, and has taken up Tai Chi to try to maintain some balance.
