Take care of yourself - take care of business! It is not business as usual and self-care is more important than ever to build resiliency and manage change. Our businesses will run better when we practice self-care. Small shifts to your daily routine can have a profound impact on your health and well-being.

Join us as we welcome Megan Macdonald on June 25 to discuss stress management, the mind/body connection and to learn how to develop simple habits which will support you and your business. Whether you are self-employed, working for an employer - or in between - everyone is welcome to attend.

Megan Macdonald’s combined training in both holistic health (yoga, meditation, reiki), and the academic study of ritual and belief provides a broad foundation to draw from with all of her clients. It was curiosity about her own chronic pain as a teenager that led to investigating over 20 healing modalities. As her health improved, she started to not only feel the benefits in her own body and mind, but see the changes that deep health brought to every aspect of life. She is certified in Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga, and most recently has been training with Mada Dalian to be a facilitator of the Self-Healing Dalian Method. This is profound work on the unconscious, beliefs, the shadow and ego. Since 2014 she has been working with individuals and groups, both in person and online, to promote well-being, health and raising consciousness.

Her background in theater, and organizing and delivering national high-profile events and ceremonies for the Government of Canada helped develop her knowledge in social ritual. Megan has a PhD on "The Performance of Belief" from Queen Mary, University of London, UK, and has published, and taught widely on theater and ritual. She is currently based on Prince Edward Island, Canada and you can find her online on Facebook at Expansion Healing.

NOTE: Registration is required to attend. This session will be offered both in person at PEIBWA's Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque and virtually. Health and safety protocols including social distancing are in place at the Rural Women's Business Centre. If you are joining us virtually, you will be provided with a Zoom meeting link once you complete your online registration.

Conversation Corner began as a small gathering around the kitchen table at our Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque in November 2019 and continues as an informal and informative platform for women in business to learn and share.

Do you have a business or workplace topic on your mind that you would like to discuss? Do you have a story to share? If you would like to be a guest on a future edition of Conversation Corner, please connect with Shelley Jessop, at the Rural Women's Business Centre at shelley@peibwa.org.
