Setting Goals as a New Entrepreneur

The importance of mapping out a plan that includes goals for your business cannot be underestimated! Join us to discuss considerations during the strategic planning process to successfully achieve both your business and personal goals. Our guest will be Sharon Gillis owner of Gillis Works. As a business advisor and new entrepreneur herself, Sharon speaks from professional as well as personal experience.

Topics will include:
-Long-term and short-term goals
-Mapping out process
-Motivation and accountability
-Reassessing goals
-Celebrating accomplishments

Whether you are in business and wanting to revisit your planning process or considering starting a business yourself - everyone is welcome to attend!

Sharon is the owner of Gillis Works, which offers Business Consulting, seminar presentations and personal budget coaching. Sharon has a background in Finance and Insurance, and is using her experience in human resources, project management, SOP development, workflow optimization, client engagement, and business development to help organizations navigate periods of transition and growth. She lives in Cornwall with her partner, two daughters, and their rescue dog, Ruby.

NOTE: Registration is required to attend. A Zoom meeting link will be sent to you via email once you complete your online registration form. Presentation will be hybrid - virtually presented, with in-person attendance at the RWBC. If you would like to participate in this session from the Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque, please bring your own laptop.

Conversation Corner began as a small gathering around the kitchen table at our Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque in November 2019 and continues as an informal and informative platform for women in business to learn and share.
