SUMMARY:Change Management with Elizabeth Pederson
DESCRIPTION:One thing we know for sure in life – especially these days – is that change will always be a part of it! \nChange has many layers and is a challenge for most of us. Elizabeth Pederson delivered this workshop a few months ago and received excellent feedback – so we are bringing her back to deliver this workshop again! \nElizabeth has spent her career helping others. She has been an Adult Educator for over 25 years\, both in a formal setting\, teaching various post secondary courses\, and as a manager guiding staff to success. \nThere are certainties that come with change…..these will be reviewed and discussed. There will be resources offered to include in your “Change ToolKit” that you will start to develop at this session and continue to develop as you go along. The session will be interactive\, with discussion\, videos\, self-reflection and a question and answer period. \nThis is a small group interactive webinar with a limit of 15 participants. \nRegistered participants will receive a Self-Assessment Checklist to complete prior to the session. The Checklist will be discussed at the workshop and the results will help give a broad spectrum of reactions and responses to change.  \nOnce you register to attend\, you will receive the Zoom meeting link to join the session as well as a copy of the Assessment. \nThis webinar is open to PEIBWA members at no charge. Non-members are welcome to attend but a $25 registration fee will apply.  A limited number of spots will be available at the Rural Women’s Business Centre to attend in-person\, with social distancing measures in place.

SUMMARY:Conversation Corner - Using Pinterest to Market Your Business
DESCRIPTION:Conversation Corner is our informal gathering we host with a combination of in-person attendees at PEIBWA’s Rural Women’s Business Centre and online participants who join through Zoom. \nOn Friday June 26\, Robyn Gallant will be joining us to talk about Using Pinterest to Market Your Business.   \nAre you curious about Pinterest? Do you want to improve your engagement on Pinterest? Taking advantage of increased downtime during the COVID-19 pandemic\, Robyn decided to power-up some of her skills and knowledge. \nWorking from a favorite idea of hers that “if you get told you do something too frequently\, you can probably get paid for it!” she naturally fell to looking at how Pinterest is affecting new-world marketing. She has successfully completed several courses for Pinterest Marketing Specialists and has begun coaching clients across PEI on how to increase traffic to their website using this playful platform. \nRobyn will share advice\, ideas\, tips and tricks on using Pinterest to expand your online reach. \nRobyn is the founder and CEO of Eventurous Consulting. Backed by over ten years of event experience\, Robyn was raised on PEI and studied stage management at Acadia University. She believes that events should be stress-free for her clients – you make the decisions\, she’ll make it happen. Also trained in the Art of Hosting\, a method of outside-the-box social collaboration\, she comes equipped with the tools to draw out the important conversations and increase meeting effectiveness \nNOTE: This session will be offered both virtually AND in-person at PEIBWA’s Rural Women’s Business Centre in Central Bedeque. \nPre-registration is required (limited spots available for in-person attendance to comply with social distancing protocols).  If you are joining us online for the session\, you will be provided with a Zoom meeting link once you complete your online registration. \nConversation Corner is a FREE program offered by the PEI Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA) and both members and non-members are welcome to attend. \nDo you have a business or workplace topic on your mind that you would like to discuss? SUMMARY:FREE Webinar - Conscious Leadership with Julie Ann Gauthier
DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn about leadership through crisis from PEIBWA member and Leadership Coach Julie Ann Gauthier from Chandler Coaches. \nThe first step to conscious leadership is self awareness and the ability to tell yourself the truth. Leaders are constantly scanning the horizon for threats and it can be difficult to tell the difference between a threat to the physical body and a threat to the ego. After obtaining her BBA from UPEI\, Julie Ann moved to Calgary where she stayed for 10 years. She obtained her MBA from the University of Calgary and held leadership roles at various levels. Working for Intact Insurance\, Canada’s largest P&C insurance company\, she led the Claims Operations department and a team of 100 employees. During the time she led this team employee engagement reached 90%\, an accomplishment that Julie Ann remains very proud of.  Outside of her time as a coach Julie Ann owns and operates Joey’s Deep Sea Fishing with her brother\, Jamie. She recently joined the Central Coastal Tourism Partnership (CCTP) as a board member. \nThis webinar is being offered by PEIBWA at no cost to both members and non-members. \nAfter you register to attend\, you will be provided with a Zoom meeting link to join the webinar.
