Program Description

Do you have a dream of someday opening your own business?  Or perhaps you’ve already taken the leap?  Are you a young woman working in business and want to expand your skills? Maybe you are a university or college student and would like to prepare for the next step.

If you said yes to any of these, then Leading The Way is for you.

Leading The Way explores topics that matter to young women entrepreneurs and leaders in 2023.  It provides a space for networking and mentoring so that participants can launch or grow their businesses. It gives young women leaders across PEI a chance to network and exchange ideas that will shape the future of PEI’s business community.

Exclusive Offer: Participants in the Leading The Way program will also have the opportunity to apply for an exclusive Micro-Grant only offered in this program. The Micro-Grant will help start or grow the participant's business well in the future.

There's no cost for this program.  It's made possible by the generous support of the Atlantic Canadian Women in Growth Partnership.

The program will run from Thursday, February 9th to Thursday, March 23rd.  Participants will meet online bi-weekly to listen, learn and engage with a range of speakers on topics important to those under 30, focused on business and entrepreneurship. After each presentation, the group will discuss the material and participate in informal peer-to-peer mentoring activities.  There will be an in-person networking mixer on Thursday, March 30th to wrap up the program.

Program topics include:

  • Confidence and Well-being

  • Prioritizing and Strategizing

  • Marketing & Branding

  • Networking

During the program, participants will have the opportunity to meet like-minded peers in a fun and relaxed environment, exchange knowledge, and build important relationships that will be instrumental to helping their businesses grow.

At the end of the program, participants will gain an invaluable amount of knowledge, a wide network to engage with and the confidence to start or grow their business on PEI and beyond. Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
