The Benefits of Hiring Foreign Nationals with Chera-Lee Gomez, McInnes Cooper

Are you experiencing labour shortages?Join us for this session with Chera-Lee Gomez, an immigration lawyer with McInnes Cooper, to learn more about the benefits, programs, processes and regulations related to hiring foreign workers. She routinely assists employers welcome foreign nationals to their company. Topics will include the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP). and Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA). Cher will define when an employer needs an LMIA or is eligible for an LMIA exemption. The most common LMIA-exempt work permits will be outlined.Whether it be applying for LMIAs, global talent stream work permits, AIPP designations, or another employer-specific immigration avenue, If you are currently considering hiring foreign nationals, or just want to expand your knowledge on the programming options available to help fill your labour shortages - everyone is welcome to attend this interactive information session.

She advises corporations on the employment of foreign nationals and immigration compliance, and offers assistance with Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIA) or specialized work permits.

Presentation will be hybrid - virtually presented, with in-person attendance at the RWBC.
