  • The presentation will be virtual, but you can attend in person at the Rural Business Women Centre in Central Bedeque. Please note, you will need to bring your laptop with you.

Join Elizabeth Pederson at PEIBWA's Conversation Corner for a discussion about communication skills in leadership. By communicating effectively, managers and business owners improve their staff's ability to get things done while feeling empowered and valued.

Communication is key for leaders to gain trust and inspire positive change, and for staff to align efforts in the pursuit of organizational goals. This session will shine a light on the common barriers leaders face to communicating successfully. It will also provide essential communication tools to add to your toolbox. You will leave the session with tangible practices you can incorporate into your daily communications right away!

Elizabeth Pederson has over 20 years of experience in Business. She has instructed adults in Business courses, worked as a Manager, and is a regular facilitator at the University of Prince Edward Island in the Professional Development Department. For the past ten years, Elizabeth has been providing consulting services in areas such as Workplace Culture, Respect in the Workplace, Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Change Management, Communication, and any matter related to Workplace Safety.

NOTE: A Zoom meeting link will be sent via email after you register. Presentation will be hybrid with Elizabeth Pederson participating virtually. If you would like to view this session from the Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque, please indicate you will attend "in person" and bring your own laptop.

Conversation Corner began as a small gathering around the kitchen table at our Rural Women's Business Centre in Central Bedeque in November 2019 and continues as an informal and informative platform for women in business to learn and share.

Do you have a business or workplace topic on your mind that you would like to discuss? Do you have a story to share? If you would like to be a guest on a future edition of Conversation Corner, please connect with Shelley Jessop, Director, Rural Women's Business Centre at shelley@peibwa.org.
