March 8, 2024: The PEI Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA), in partnership with the Interministerial Women’s Secretariat, are pleased to launch a call for applications for the 2024 Micro-Grant program.
“As Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, I am pleased to support this initiative of the PEI Business Women’s Association,” says Hon. Natalie Jameson, Minister of Education and Early Years. "Micro-grants have proven to be especially beneficial for women entrepreneurs, and I look forward to the great outcomes they will provide across our province.”
Five (5) micro-grant winners will receive $1,000 each, and winners will be announced in mid-April following an application and adjudication process. To be eligible to apply, applicants must be or become members in good standing of PEIBWA.
“On this International Women’s Day, we are delighted to be announcing a micro-grant partnership with the Interministerial Women’s Secretariat,” says Hannah Martens, Board President, PEIBWA. “These grants provide excellent opportunities and support for women-owned businesses to grow.”
Information about the program, including a link to the online application, is available on the PEIBWA website. The deadline to apply for this grant is 4:00 pm ADT on Monday, April 2, 2024.
