PEIBWA is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Summer Student to support our communications and marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a student with a passion for social media, content creation, and community engagement. The successful candidate will help promote PEIBWA’s brand, engage with members, and create compelling content that highlights the achievements of women entrepreneurs in PEI.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media Management & Content Creation
- Create engaging social media posts for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Follow a content calendar to ensure consistent and strategic messaging.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages to foster member engagement.
- Highlight PEIBWA members through interviews, spotlight posts, and success stories.
- Capture and edit photos and videos for use in social media and marketing materials.
- Develop testimonials that showcase member and organization achievements.
2. Brand Promotion & Awareness:
- Assist in promoting PEIBWA programs, events, and initiatives on social media platforms.
- Create promotional graphics and marketing materials using design tools (e.g., Canva).
3. Event Support:
- Assist in marketing PEIBWA events through social media platforms.
- Provide on-site support for events, including photography, social media updates, and member engagement.
4. Administrative & Other Duties:
- Track social media engagement and provide performance reports.
- Support organizations tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Photography and video editing experience is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Own Vehicle
- Carry a Class 5 graduated license
